SATAII Configuration
Please select [Compatible] when you install legacy OS (Windows NT). If
native OS (Windows 2000 / XP) is installed, please select [Enhanced].
Then in the option "Configure SATAII as", you are allowed to set the selec-
tion from [AHCI] to [RAID] if you plan to enable RAID function. Configuration
options: [AHCI], [IDE], and [RAID]. The default value is [AHCI].
1. AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) supports Hot
Plug, NCQ and other new features that will improve SATA
disk performance but IDE mode does not have these
advantages.
2. Only AHCI and RAID modes support Hot Plug function.
OnBoard SATAII Controller
Use this item to enable or disable the "OnBoard SATAII Controller" feature.
