14.3 Method for adding refrigerant

14.3.1 Flow chart

• Open valve B to field piping via
liquid stop valve
• Execute pre-charging amount: Q (kg)
• Close valve B if no additional
refrigerant can be charged
• Q Should be 50% (±10%) of R
* if [R-(6 x n)] > R/2.
Then Q'(kg) can be calculate refer
formula below.
Q'=R-(6 x n)
When Q' = Refrigerant pre-charging
amount (kg)
n = number of the outdoor units

• Activate field setting [2-3]=2*
• Test run will be started with auto charge
operation

Cooling charging
(" t01 " flashing: pressure equalization)
(" t02 " flashing: starting control)
(" t03 " flashing: waiting for stable cooling)
(" t05 " flashing: auto charging operation)
During " t01 " to " t05 " is flashing.
• Push BS2 more than 5 seconds within
3 minutes.
• Open valve C.
The currently displayed number will stop
flashing.
Refrigerant will be charged, and test run
will be continued automatically after
" t05 " operated.
Test run finished = " t10 " is flashing.
• Close valve C.
• Push BS1 to leave program.
• Charging is finished.
• Fill in the amount on the additional
refrigerant charge label.
