Dynamic gamma
CL-S500 comes with our original function, dynamic gamma adjustment. By enabling this
function, the images on the screen are automatically identified to distinguish between
monochrome and color, and the respective images are displayed with the most suitable
grayscale. The default is "Disable", but by using OSD operation can change it to
"Enable".

DICOM GSDF. Please be sure to select "Disable" in DYNAMIC GAMMA when
carrying out constancy tests.
Setting method 1
You can turn on and off DYNAMIC GAMMA by OSD.
1) Display the "Operation Button Guide ① " by pressing any one of operation buttons
(A–C).
2) Press the "MENU" button.
3) Select "DYNAMIC GAMMA" from MENU 1/2 using the "▼" or "▲" button and press
the "OK" button. Then select "Disable" or "Enable" from "DYNAMIC GAMMA" OSD
and press the "OK" button.
Setting method 2
You can assign the dynamic gamma function to the function buttons (F1 or F2) which
allows you to enable or disable the function easily via button operation. The following
explains how to assign to the "F2" button.
1) Display the "Operation Button Guide ① " by pressing any one of operation buttons
(A–C).
2) Press the "MENU" button.
3) Select "FUNCTION" from MENU 1/2 using the "▼" or "▲" button and press the "OK"
button. Then select "FUNCTION2" from "FUNCTION" OSD and press the "OK"
button.
4) Select "DYNAMIC GAMMA" from "FUNCTION2" OSD and press the "OK" button.
5) Display the "Operation Button Guide ① " by pressing any one of operation buttons
(A–C) .
6) You can enable or disable the dynamic gamma function by pressing the "F2" button.
You can also check whether the function is enabled or disabled from the
"D-GAMMA" from "INFORMATION 1/2" OSD.
