definition) and MPEG2 (high definilkm)

Original
A movie or still photo recordedby DVD

Photomovie
A series of still images (JPEG formal/
converted and resaved as a movie (MPEG
format) on the same disc, which can played
back on another DVD dc'_ice or computer.
Create a Photomovie to view still images on
a DVD device that does not support JPEG

Pickuplens
The componentthat optically reads signals

Playlist
A list of your favorite selected original
movies and still images. It enables simple
editing of original recorded data such as
deleting images, dividing videos, and
changing playback order.
Recording mode
By setting the recording mode before
recording, you can select the image quality.
There arc 3 modes: HQ (high quality), SP
(standard play) and LP (long play). The
higher the recording quality, the shorter the
recording time.
Thumbnail
Reduced-size images which enable you to
view many images at the same time. DVD
Handycam "VISUAL INDEX" and "DVD
metal" use a thumbnail display system.

VBR stands for Variable Bit Rate, tile
