The function varies, depending on the type of recorder
or player connected.
Using an SVO-9500MD/9500MDP/5800/5800P or
SVP-5600/5600P: Press to display a freeze frame.
When you use an SVO-9500MD/9500MDP,
pressing this button cycles through the following
functions: frame freeze, field | freeze, and field 2
freeze. If you press this button after displaying the
image to be frozen as a still image either in jog/
shuttle mode or by pausing, the SVO-9500MD/
9500MDP carries out an automatic preroll,
playback and freeze sequence. After capturing the
freeze frame, the tape pauses.
When you use a SYG-380G/S8QGP os SY P-5600/
5600P, pressing this button displays a field freeze.
Using a UVW-1400A/1400A P/1700G/1700GP:
Press to output an image to a video printer.
Press this button after displaying the image to be
printed out as a still image in jog/shuttle mode or
by pausing, and the UVW-1400A/1400AP/1700G/
1700GP automatically carries out a preroll,
playback and printer output sequence (see page /0).
Pressing this button during playback sends a copy
of the instantaneous playback image to a video
printer.
