Operation
Scanning for a desired index marker
Skipping to a desired index marker
This function scans through the tape, playing back a

section from each index marker.

1 Count the number of index sections between the

To skip back from the current position: Count
the current section as |. For example, the
second section back is counted as 3.
To skip forward from the current position:
Count the following section as 1. For example,
the second section forward is counted as 2.

You can specify a skip count of 2 to 39.
To move to the immediately previous or following

index marker, use the index scan function.

INDEX button.
The INDEX indicator on the SVO-9500MD/
9500MDP flashes.

the REW button.
To scan forward from the current position:
Press the F FWD button.
The SVO-9500MD/9500MDP scans through the
tape, stopping at each index marker and playing
back for approximately 10 seconds.
To stop the scan at a particular point
Press any tape transport button other than F FWD
or REW.
The scan ends, and the INDEX indicator on the
SVO-9500MD/9500MDP goes off.
When a scan reaches the beginning or end of the tape,
the SVO-9500MD/9500MDP automatically ends the
scan.
