Answering Calls
When a Call is being received, the unit rings and the called line indicator
flashes quickly. The line is automatically selected when you answer the
call. (To change the line selection, see page 45.)
If you subscribe to a Caller ID service, the calling party information will be
displayed after the first ring (p. 28). In order to view the CALLER ID
information, please wait until the second ring to answer a call.
Line Buttons and Indicators
If the handset is off the base unit, press
(TALK).
e The TALK and the called line indicators
light.
e You can also answer a call by pressing any
dialing button (0) to (9), (*) or (#)
(— Any Key Talk).
OR
If on the base unit, just lift up.
(This is not possible when the Auto Talk
feature is set to OFF. See page 20.)

e You may answer a call by pressing the line button instead of (TALK).
e When the ringer volume is set to "Off", the selected line(s) will not ring (p. 21).
