7 Set to "on" position when listening at
low volume level.
(The loudness indicator will illuminate.)
7 Adjust tone quality as desired.
(See below.)
Adjust left/right volume balance.
While listening to an AM (MW/LW) broadcast
or a monaural FM broadcast, balance the
sound so that it seems to be heard from the
center, between the speakers.
If both ("'left" and "right") balance controls
are pressed at the same time, balance will
be set to the center position automatically.
Adjust the volume level.
Be sure to reduce the volume level, and switch OFF the power.
Note:
The input selection, the volume level, the volume balance, the
tone quality, and the muting settings will be kept as they were
at the time when the power is switched OFF, i.e. the memory
back-up function.
100 Hz
This is the deep bass range. By increas-
ing the control setting, the sound of a
bass guitar, drums, etc. can be made
more massive and substantial.
1 kHz
This is the range in which most of the
vocal range of the human voice is includ-
ed. By increasing the control setting,
vocal reproductions become more full of
life and greater realism and ambience
can be added.
10 kHz
This is the range
in which
finely subtle
tones of radiance and splendorous
luminance can be added. By increasing
the control setting, an extra measure of
glitter can be added, for example, to the
sounds of the cymbals, triangle, etc. This
control can also be used, by reducing its
setting, to decrease annoying tape "hiss"
noises.
