Mi HOW TO CHECK THE FL DISPLAY AND MICROCOMPUTER
PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS
. Remove the cabinet (see disassembly procedure Ref. No. 1).
. Remove the front panel (see disassembly procedure Ref. No. 2).
. Remove the microcomputer P.C.B. and the FL P.C.B. from the front panel (see disassembly procedure Ref. No. 3).
. Remove the main P.C.B. (see disassembly procedure Ref. No. 4).
. Connect the 9 flat extension cables as follows (Fig. A and B):
* Between the key switch P.C.B. and the FL P.C.B., connect J904 (6-pin), J905 (6-pin), and J906 (6-pin).
* Between the microcomputer P.C.B. and the FL P.C.B., connect J907 (6-pin), J908 (6-pin), J909 (9-pin).
J910 (9-pin), J911 (6-pin), and J912 (6-pin).
* Between the FL P.C.B. and the remote control sensor P.C.B., connect J913 (5-pin).
Caution:
Be sure to maintain
the correct polarity when connecting the extension cables.
Reversing the polarity of
a connection between P.C.B.'s can cause severe damage to the unit.
6. Re-attach the FL P.C.B. to the main P.C.B.
7. Lean the main P.C.B. on its edge with its heatsink on the power transformer (Fig. C).
Caution:
Cover the chassis and the power transformer with a non-conductive cloth to prevent a short circuit.

Notes:
1. If it is determined that the problem is on the main P.C.B., it is only necessary to remove the bottom cover to trouble-
shoot this unit.
2. If it is determined that the problem
is not on the main P.C.B., it is not necessary to remove the main P.C.B. (step 4)
and lay it on its side (step 7) to troubleshoot this unit.
