Tips
- Do not leave valuables unattended in t he ve-
hicle . A locked vehicle is not a safe!
- The LED in the driver 's door rail blinks when
you lock the vehicle . If the LED lights up for
approximately 30 seconds after locking,
there is a ma lfunction in the central locking
system. Have the problem corrected by an
authorized Audi dealer or authorized Audi
Service Facility.

Remote control key with integr ated
mechanica l key
You can unlock and lock your vehicle w ith the re-
mote control key. A mechanical key is integrated
in the remote control key

Separate mechanical key
This key is not intended for constant use. It
should only be used in an emergency . Do not car-
ry it on your key ring and do not store it in the ve-
hicle.
Replacing a key
If a key is lost, see an authorized Audi dealer or
authorized Audi Service Facility. Have this key de-
activated . It is important to bring all keys with
you .
If
a key is lost, you should report it to your
insurance company .
Number of keys
You can check the number of keys assigned to
your vehicle in the Infotainment system. Select:

This way, you can make sure that you have all the
keys when purchasing a used vehicle.
Electronic immobilizer
The immobilizer prevents unauthorized use of
the vehicle.
Under certain circumstances, the vehicle may not
be able to start if there is a key from a different
vehicle manufacturer on the key chain .
Data in th e master key
When dr iving, service and maintenance-relevant
data is cont inuously stored in your remote con-
trol key. Your Audi service advisor can read out
th is data and t ell you about the work yo ur vehicle
needs. This applies also t o vehicles w ith a con-
venience key*.
Personal convenience sett ings
If two people use one vehicle, it is recommended
that each person always uses their own remote
contro l key. When the ignit ion is tu rned off or
whe n the vehicle is locked, personal convenience
settings for t he following systems are stored and
assigned to the remote master key.
- Climate cont rol system
- Central locking system
- Window and rear shade*
- Interior lighting*
- Memory function
- Parking aid*
- Adaptive cruise control *
- Act ive lane assist*
- Side assist*
- Drive select
- Night vision assist*
- Steeri ng wheel heating*
The stored settings are automat ically recalled
when you unlock the vehicle, open t he doors or
turn on the ignition.

Always take the vehicle key with you when
leaving the vehicle, even for a short period of
time. This applies particularly when child ren
rema in in the vehicle . Otherwise the children
