If the

dicator light turns on or blinks, the re is a mal-
function in a safety system such as the airbag or
belt tensioner system .
Drive to an autho rized Audi dealer or authori zed
Audi Service Facility immediately to have the
malfunct ion corrected.

WARNING
Have the malf unct ion in t he safety systems
inspected immediately . Ot herwise, the re is a
risk t hat the systems may not activate during
a collision, which increases the risk of serious
injury or deat h.
Lt Brake booster

Brake servo: limited functionalit y. You can
continue driving . Contact workshop

There is a malfunc t ion in the brake booster. The
brake booster is availab le, but its effec t iveness is
reduced. Braking behavior may be different from
how it normally functions and the brake pedal
may vibrate.
Drive to an autho rized Audi dealer or aut horized
Audi Service Facility immediately to have t he
malfunction corrected.

Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL)
The malf unction indicator lamp (MI L) is part of
t he On-Board Diagnost ic System (080 II). The
¢..ij
c;ymbol tu rns on when the ignition is switched
on and turns off again once the engine is started
and run ning at a steady idle speed . This indicates
t hat the MIL is f unction ing cor rectly .
The ind icator light tu rns on if there is a malfunc-
t ion in the engine electronics . See an authorized
Audi dealer or author ized Audi Service Facili ty to
have the malfunct ion cor rected . For additional

Engine speed limitation
Applies to : vehicles wit h engine speed limi tatio n

Maximum engine speed XXXX RPM
The eng ine speed is automatically li mited to the
RPM shown in the instrument cluster display.
This protects the engi ne from overheat ing .
The eng ine speed li mitation deactivates once the
engine is no longe r in the critical temperatu re
range and you have released the accelerator ped-
al once.
If the engine speed limitation was activated by
