Installation of the ROM or the memory card
The ROM or the memory card in which monitor data is stored must be
installed securely to the G-controller module. If it is installed loosely, a
system error may occur.
14.4 Switch Settings, Wiring, and Connection of External Devices

Switch settings
Follow the instructions given in the manual of each device. (CRT, printer)

Wiring
Wiring between the G-controller module and a display, keyboard, and

printer must be done using specified cables .
• If cables which are longer than specified are used, voltage drop may
be promoted and operations become abnormal.
• Check connection cables for internal disconnection.
Disconnected
parts must be repaired. Check the following parts with special care.
Deformed part on cables
Neck of connectors
Part that connects a pin with a cable core inside a connector

Cable connection
Cable connectors must be screwed to the G-controller module securely.
Incomplete connection may cause abnormal operation.
If the keyboard, operation panel, or touch panel is disconnected during
monitoring, set the RUN/STOP keyswitch of the G-controller module to
the KEY LOCK position. And then, make connection, and set the keys-
witch to RUN.

Printer connection
Connect a printer to the parallel interface.
If a printer is connected to an interface other than the parallel interface.
