Note: Unplug the only power cable that is connected to the specific power module (left or right
position) you intend to replace on the rear of the enclosure.
4. Remove the faulty power module.
a) Pull the finger handle until it is at the 90-degree angle relative to the power module.
b) Press the release tab toward the finger handle while simultaneously pulling the finger handle
outward to disengage the power module cam. The release tab and finger handle are shown in
Figure 19 on page 12.

c) Use one hand to support the bottom of the power module, let go of the release tab, and pull it out of
the enclosure by the finger handle.
Note: Do not use the power module tab - the power module will not come out if this tab is
depressed.
5. Install the replacement power module part.
a) Ensure that the replacement power module is in the proper orientation with the release tab at the
top.
b) Support the bottom of the replacement power module by using one hand, insert the power module
into the power cavity on the rear of the enclosure.
c) Push the power module fully into the enclosure until the release tab engages and the power module
cams locks into the place.
d) Test to ensure that the power module is properly installed. Pull the finger handle slightly outward
to verify that the power module is locked in place. If the power module easily removed from the
enclosure without pushing the release tab, remove the power module and repeat steps "5.a" on
page 12 through "5.c" on page 12, and then retest the installation.
6. Reconnect power cable to the replaced power module.
Insert the power cord into the power module jack.
7. Follow the appropriate steps to prepare for a service action to return the CMA arm.
