Erasing
recordings

m Erase
Function
The MD deck lets you erase unwanted
tracks
quickly
and easily. You can restore
the
contents
to the condition
before
erasing
(unerase)
by using the Undo
function.
Note, however,
check carefully
the portion
to
be erased,
as you cannot
undo an edit after
performing
any additional
edits.
The three options
for erasing
recordings
are:
• Erasing
a single
track (Erase).
• Erasing
all the tracks
(All Erase).
• Erasing
a portion
of a track (A-B Erase).
To erase
a single
track
You can erase a track simply
by selecting
its
"MD"
appears
in the display.
Press MENU/NO
while
MD is
"Edit Menu"
appears.

you erase a track, the total number

on the MD decreases
by one and all the

tracks
following
the erased
one are

Press FUNCTION
repeatedly
until
renumbered.

to erase appears,
then press
ENTER/YES.
"Complete!!"
appears
for a few seconds
and the selected
track is erased.
The
track following
the erased
track begins
playing.
(If you erase the last track, the
track preceding
the erased
track begins
playing.)
To cancel
erasing
Press ll.
To undo
the
Erase
Function
Use the Undo
Function
immediately
after you
erased
the track (see page 53).
