3.5.5 REC switching point
Mode : REC
Signal : Stairsteps
Oscilloscope : VIDEO OUT
1. Trigger the oscilloscope externally (+ slope) with the
signal from TP11.
2. Adjust R47 to position the trigger point 6.5 + 0.5 H
before V. sync.
3.5.6 Tracking preset
Mode : SELF REC. after P/B mode
Signal : Stairesteps
1. Preset tracking VR (R36) center crick position.
2. Try several time recording and playback, wach the
playback pictre at the switching area point.
3. Adjust the R38 toget vertical line strait as possible.

3.5.7 CTL Head position
Refer to mechanical adjustment 2.4.6.
3.5.8 Reverse PB Tracking preset
Mode : REC then Rev. PB
Signal : Color bar
1. Set the tracking control to the center detent position.
2. Adjust R28 to set the noise bar at the bottom of TV
screen, but avoiding H. sync disturbance at the top of
the picture.
3.5.9 H. discriminator
Mode : Search FF/REW
Signal : Alignment tape (MH-2 Color bar)
1. Adjust R59 to minimize the hue deviation on the TV
monitor during SEARCH FF and SEARCH REW mode.

Mode : REC then Still
Signal : Color bar
Oscilloscope : VIDEO OUT
1. Trigger the oscilloscope externally with the signal from
TP11.
2. Adjust R101 so that t2 becomes 100 + 20 usec.
3. Adjust R103 so that t3 becomes 250 + 50 usec.
