@® MANUAL tuning buttons (MANUAL +/—)
For manual
tuning to weaker broadcast signals. (See
page 12.)
@AFC button (EG only)
Set to ON/EIN to activate the built-in Automatic Fre-
quency Control circuit for fine picture tuning. Normal-
ly leave it in the ON/EIN
position.
@TIMER button (SCHALTUHR)
Press to ON/EIN { == ) after you have preset the timer
for unattended recording.
@ RELEASE button (FREIGABE)
To separate
the recorder from the tuner, slide the
recorder
forward
while
pressing
this
RELEASE/
FREIGABE button.
@VTR connector base
Allows direct contact with the direct connector section
of the recorder.
@ MAIN POWER switch (NETZ)
Setting this switch to ON/EIN applies mains power to
the set. To switch off the set completely, set the MAIN
POWER/NETZ switch to OFF/AUS. This switches off
the timer/clock circuit and cancels all the preset pro-
gramming
data after the memory backup time (about
60 minutes)
has elapsed. This also switches off the
built-in aerial circuit so that the TV receiver connected
to the TU-S10EG/EK will not be able to receive off-
the-air TV
programmes
for good viewing condition.
Normally set this MAIN POWER/NETZ switch to ON/
EIN.
® AC power cord
Connect to a 220 VV, 50/60 Hz household outlet. (EG)
Connect to a 240 VV, 50/60 Hz household outlet. (EK)
@ ANT IN terminal (ANTENNE)
Connect an aerial to this terminal.
@ RF OUT connector (HF-AUSGANG)
Connect to the aerial terminal of a TV receiver through
the aerial cable
(provided with
the HR-S10EG/EK
recorder), The output is determined by the recorder's
built-in RF converter.
For adjustment of the RF out-
put channel,
refer to the instruction manual
for the
HR-S10EG/EK.
@ AUDIO input/output DIN socket
Connect
a tape recorder
or other audio
sources for
recording. Also audio signals being recorded or played
back are available from the output terminals of this
DIN socket. (EG)

DIN socket. The socket is of the 7-pin configuration,
but 5-pin DIN connectors can also be plugged in. (EK)
® VIDEO IN connector (VIDEO EINGANG)
Connect
the video output of other video equipment
such as another video tape recorder for recording video
signals.
® VIDEO OUT connector (VIDEO AUSGANG)
Video signals being recorded or played back are avail-
able from this connector.
