Surface treatment (ninth digit)
The fifth and sixth digits are numbers indicating a
nominal diameter or dimension. If the dimension exceeds
10 mm, three digits are used. The number indicates a
nominal diameter or dimension, given in millimeters,
multiplied by ten.
Length (seventh and eighth digits)
The seventh and eighth digits are numbers indicating
length in milimeters. The preceding figure is zero when
the dimension is smaller than 10 mm. For machine
sorews used in precision equipment whose length is
given in units of 0.1 mm, the number indicates ten times
the size of their length.
