The unit does not work and "CHILD LOCK"
appears in the front panel display when you
press any button on the unit,
• Set the child lock function to off (page 62).
The HDMI CONTROL function does not work,
• When "HDklI" does not light up in the fiont panel
display, check the HDMI connection (page 20).
• Set the [HDMI CONTROL] setting in [CUSTOM
SETUP] to [ON] (page 74).
• Make sure that the connected component is
compatible wilh the HDMI CONTROL fimction.
• Check that the AC power cord lmains lead) of the
connected component is connected securely.
• Check the connected component_s setting for the
HDMI CONTROL function. See the operating
instructions of the component.
• lfyou change the HDMI connection, connect and
disconnect the AC power cord Onains lead), or
have a power failure, set the [HDMI CONTROL]
setting in [CUSTOM SETUP] to [OFF], then set
the [HDMI CONTROL] setting in [CUSTOM
SETUP] to [ON] (page 74).
• For details on the HDMI CONTROL function, see
the HDMI CONTROL Guide (supplied
separately).
No sound is output from the system and TV
while using the System Audio Control
function.
• Set the [AUDIO (HDMI)] sclting in [CUSTOM
SETUP] to [ON] (page 75).
• Make sure that the connected TV is compatible
with the System Audio Control function.
• For details on the System Audio Control fimction,
see the HDMI CONTROL Guide (supplied
separately).

display)
When the self=diagnosis function is activated to
prevent the system li'om malfimctioning, a 5-
character service number (e.g., C 13 50) with a
combination of a letter and 4 digits appears on
the TV screen or fi'ont panel display. In this case.
check the following table.

When displaying the version
number on the TV screen
When you turn on the system, the version
number [VER.X.XX] (X is a number) may
appear on the TV screen. Although this is not a
malfunction and for Sony service use only,
normal system operation will not be possible.
Turn off the system, and then turn on the system
again to operate.
