You can set two kinds of playback restrictions
for the desired disc.
• Custom Parental Control
You can set playback restrictions so thai the
system will not plW inappropriate discs.
• Parental Control
Playback of some DVD VIDEOs can be
limited according to a predetermined level
such as tile age of the users. Scenes may be
blocked or replaced with different scenes.
Tile same password is used ff)r both Custom
Parental Control and Parental Control.
Preventing playback of
specific discs [CUSTOM
PARENTAL CONTROL]
You can set the same Custom Parental Coulrol
password for tip to 40 discs. When you set the
41st-disc, Ihe first disc is canceled.

Insert the disc you want to lock.
lt"tlae disc is playing, press • lo slop
playback.
2 Press O DISPLAY while the system is
in stop mode.
The Conlrol Menu display appears.

Press t"/4, to select
[PARENTAL CONTROL], then press
®.
The oplions for [PARENTAL CONTROL]
appear.

Press €'14,to select [ON -_], then press
®.
• If you have not entered a password
Tile display for registering a
new password
appears.
PARENTAL CONTROL
Enter a new 4-digit password,
then press [ENTERS;.
Enter a 4=digit password using file number
butt(ms, then press (:).
The display for confirming tile password
appears.
• When you have already registered a
password

5 Enter or re-enter your 4-digit password
using the number buttons, then press
@.
[Custom parental control is set.] appears
and the TV screen returns to the Control
Menu display.
To turn off the Custom Parental
Control function

Follow steps 1 through 3 of "Preventing
playback of specific discs [CUSTOM
PARENTAL CONTROL]."
2 Press ,I,/4, to select [OFF -+], then press
@.
3 Enter your 4-digit password using the
number buttons, then press _.
