Basic principles of CD-R media
A blank CD-R disc is divided into the areas shown in Figure 14
p.48. This differs from a prerecorded disc by the additional CDR
area, which lies in front of the lead-in area.
A cross-section through a CD-R disc is shown in Figure 15 p.49.
The disc comprises four different layers.
THE ADDITIONAL CD-R AREA OF A CD-R DISC.
The additional CD-R area is divided into two areas:
1)
The program Memory Area (PMA) which mainly
contains, the track numbers of the titles recorded with
respective start and stop points.
