Condensate Removal

The water that is collected through the normal
process of air conditioning is collected in the rear
base pan. To aid in dissipating this water, the
outdoor fan blade has a ring around the blade that
picks up the water and "slings" it onto the outer coil.
This assists in removing heat from the coil when the
Zoneline is in cooling mode.
When operating in the heat pump mode, defrost
water is also collected in base pan, but because
outdoor temperatures may drop below freezing the
water level could cause the outdoor fan blade to
freeze in the pan. To prevent this from occurring, a
thermostatically operated drain pan plug is utilized.
Located in the base pan, when the air temperature
is above 65°F it is closed; and opens when the
temperature drops below 45°F, lowering the water
level in the base pan.
draining back to the base pan, clean the drain
trough exit located on the left side of the trough.
