TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Pressure Relief Procedure

Hold a metal part of the gun firmly to the
side of a grounded metal pail, and trigger the gun to relieve pressure.

Engage
the
gun safety latch.

Leave the pressure relief valve open until you are ready
to
spray again.
If
you suspect that the spray tip or hose is completely clogged, or that pressure has not been fully relieved after
following the steps above, VERY SLOWLY
loosen
the
tip
guard retaining nut or hose end coupling
and
relieve
pressure gradually, then
loosen
completely. Now clear the tip or hose.

'Thaw the sprayer if water or water-based paint has frozen in
warm area. Do not try to start the sprayer until
it
has thawed
it,
due to exposure to low temperatures, by placing
it

completely. If the bourdon tube was not damaged by the
freezing, the pump should operate. If paint hardened (dried) in
the sprayer, the pump packings andlor bare pressure control
must be replaced. See page 26 or manual
307-7(0.

2. Check electrical supply with volt meter.
Meter should read

Check extension cord for visible damage.
Use
a
volt meter or test lamp at extension
cord outlet to check.

5. Check motor brush leads, terminals and
brush length. Brush length should be 112"
minimum.

pump packings
