Cleaning Ducts

Keeping the ducting clear is important for main-
taining the efficient performance of this metal dust
collector. Metal particles that do not reach the
dust collector can build up and block the ducts,
leading to reduced efficiency and a potential fire
hazard. Inspect all ducts and fittings monthly and
clean as necessary.
Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles, a
NIOSH-approved respirator, and protective
gloves when removing and cleaning duct-
ing. Carefully minimize amount of dust
allowed to become airborne, and prevent
spread of dust onto hands or clothing.
Properly dispose of all waste according to
local regulations for material type.
