Dubbing from the Camcorder to a VCR
Connect the camcorder to a VCR to copy your or a friend's home 8mm recordings to VMS,
® Connections with an AV cable
Connect your camcorder to the VCK., following
'Tlaying Back Your Recording on Your TV" on
pages 50'-51.
2 Turn on your VCR and place it in the camcorder
' input mode (consult your VCR m.anual for
details). Operate the television as you normally
do to see the signal coming from the VCR.
Hold down the small button of the Cy\M7
OFF/VIDEO switch while you slide the switch
to VIDEO.
^ Insert the recorded tape in the camcorder and a
blank tape into the VCR. Set the VCR to record.

Play the tape from the camcorder 'while record¬
ing on the VCR.
Note: If the VCR is connected to a television
and the VCR/TV selector is set to VCR, you can
rnonl'tor the tape being dubbed.
Note: Reduce the volume of the camcorder as
lov<y as possible during dubbing, Otherwise the
played back p)kctures could be distofled.
® Connections with an i.LINK (DV) cable
You can connect this camcorder 'to video equipment with a DV terminak using an, i.LINK (DV) cable for
dubbing. There will be minima! deterioration of video and audio since the digital signal is transferred.
The information displayed on the screen cannot be dubbed.
Open the cover of DV jack.
2 Else an i.LINK cable to connect the camcorder to
your eqiiipment.
''J Turn your equipment on. If 'the equipment has
an input selector set it to "DV input'" (consult
your equipment manual for details).
^ Hold down the small button of the CAM/
OFF/ViDEO switch while vou slide the switch
to VIDEO.
g Insert the recorded tape in the camcorder and a
blank tape into 'the equipment. Set the equip¬
ment to record.

Play the tape from the camcorder while record¬
ing on tli.e equipment.
Note: Reduce the volume of the camcorder as
low

possible during dubbing, Otherwise the
played back pictures could be distorted.
