The date search function memofizes the start and end positions of recordings you made on a specific
day so you can easily locate those positions later as long os the cassette is left in the camcorder
Hole:
Be sure that the date and time are set.
"I Attach a powe^x source and slide the CAM'/
OFF/VIDEO switch to VIDEO.
2 Press the DATE button, (the DISPLAY button on
' the remote control.) to display "SE.ARCFI" in the
vie¥/finder

Press the REW button to- search for the start
position from which you last made a recording
or the FF button to recording end position. "
SEARC'lwill appear while the stcirt position is
being searched for; "SE.ARCH ", while the
end position is being searched for.
^ When the required position, is iocated, the cam¬
corder enters the stop mode and "SEARCH"
disappears from the viewfinder or LCD moni¬
tor.

Note: if you have ejected the cassette, this
function not operate v^/rth. that cassette.
(When a cassette is inserted and the recording

started, the position is identified as the record¬
ing start position on that day.)
Note: If the clock battery is not inserted, the
date search function does nc:)t operate v/hen
the battery providing the pov/er to the cam¬
corder is removed.
Note: When the cassette was recorded by
another camcorder, the date secjrch function
does not operate.
Note: The date search function is reieasecJ
when you press the STOP button during date
search mode.
Note: If the recorded time is less than 30 sec¬
onds, the date search function may not oper¬
ate normally.
Photo Search (for VM-D975LA) -
The photo search function allows you to search forward or backward for stills recorded on tape.
Note: Be sure that the date and time are set.
Attach a power source and slide the CAM/
OFF/VIDEO switch to VIDEO.
Make sure that the sub power smtt.tch is in the
PHOTO position, and. that "PHOTO.S" appears
in the viewfinder or on the LCD monitor.
Note: When the cassette was recorded by
another camcorder, the photo search function
may not operate.
Note: The photo search function is released
Vx/hen you press the STOP button during photo
search mode.
Press the REW button to search, for the preced¬
ing still, or the FF button, for the following still.
"PHOTO.S 44 " will appear while the preceding
still is being searched for : "PHOTO.S
while the next still is being searched for.
When the required still is located, the camcortier
enters the stop mode and "PHOTO.S" disap¬
pears from the viewfinder or LCD monitor.
