TBC (Time Base Corrector) ON or OFF
With TBC specified ON. you can suppress fluctuations ordlstoftion in picture that may occur when tapes
recorded by other camcorders are played back, or any distortion caused by tape stretch or inconsis¬
tent tape running that occur when dubbing is repeated.-
TBC is effective only during Hi8/8 playback.
1 Set the CAM/OFF/VIDEO switch to VIDEO.
2 Press the MENU button.
3 Press the STOP or PLAY
button to select "'TBC".

Press the FF button to display "ON".
5 Press the MENU button.
Note: in some cases, fluctuations or distortion In
picture cannot be suppressed even when "TBC
ON" has been specified.
Note: Depending on the tape used, playback
pictures may fluctuate up and dovt/n with UBC
ON" specified. !n this case, specify "TBC OFF".
Note: Whenever TBC ON is specified, OFF will
automatically be specified for the DISPLAY
menu item.
Attaching a filter
Screw the filter into the threads on the camcorder
lens assembly..
