You can play back a tape at various tape speeds. :

picture may be noisy or monochrome.
If you press the REW or FF button while rewinding or
fast-forwarding the tape, the VTR enters the picture
search mode.
lf you press the REW or FF button while picture
searching, the VTR enters the rewinding or fast-
forwarding mode, respectively.

The still mode is automatically cancelled after
about 5 minutes and returns to normal playback.
Noies
The still picture may. shake jf a picture of a fast-moving
object or scene is frozen. This is not a defect in the unit.
Ifyou play back a tape recorded in the LP tape speed or
recorded on another VTR in various speed-mode, the
picture may be noisy or monochrome.
If noises appear in the still picture, adjust the tracking
manually in the slow-motion mode. (See next page.)
If the still picture is distorted or flickers, hold down "
one of the CH/TRK buttons until the picture
becomes stable.
Note
The distortion of the still picture may not be oiminatee
completely.
You can advance the picture frame by fame.
1 During playback, press the PAUSE/STILL
buiton.

Each time you press the button, the picture
advances.one frame.
While the button is held down, the tape runs at
1/25th the normal playback speed.
