Troubleshooting
If issues occur with the station, refer to the following troubleshooting procedures. For further help and assistance, contact your
installer or service technician.
LED
Problem: The notification LED is on during standby.
Cause: The ringtone volume is set to "0".
Solution: Adjust the ringtone volume. →
Problem: The notification LED flashes slowly during standby.
Cause: There are unconfirmed images.
Solution: The LED will turn off when you display at least 1 image. →
Problem: The notification LED flashes fast.
Cause: JV-1MD: A short circuit is detected in the door station wiring or the expansion monitor station wiring.
JV-1FD: A short circuit is detected in the door station wiring.
Solution: Contact your installer or service technician.
Screen
Problem: The screen is black.
Cause: The monitor is off in standby mode.
Solution:
To communicate with the door station, tap
To monitor the outside of the door, tap
To display the setting menu, tap any of the function buttons. →
Problem: The screen is black, and the station does not respond to touch.
Cause: The power may be off.
Solution: Contact your installer or service technician.
Problem: The screen is white or displaying white vertical lines or rings.
Cause: The lens of the door station is in direct sunlight or another bright light source. (This is not a malfunction.)
Solution: Install the door station in a location where it is not pointed at direct sunlight.
Sound/voice
Problem: The ringtone does not sound.
Cause: The ringtone volume is set to "0".
Solution: Adjust the ringtone volume. →
Problem: It is difficult to hear the ringtone.
Cause: Ambient noise may make it difficult to hear.
Solution: Adjust the ringtone volume. →
Problem: It is difficult to hear the speaker.
Cause: Ambient noise may make it difficult to hear.
Solution: Adjust the receiving volume. →
Problem: Communication is interrupted, or it becomes a one-way conversation.
Cause: Because of auto-voice actuation, audio may be interrupted when there is loud ambient noise.
Solution: Enable the press-to-talk method. →
Problem: The visitor cannot hear resident's voice at all (but the resident can hear the visitor's voice).
Cause: The press-to-talk is selected.
Solution: When using press-to-talk, the visitor can only hear incoming audio if the user taps
areas with high ambient noise) (P.12)
Problem: Communication cannot be heard even if the talk button is tapped.
Cause: The receiving volume is low.
Solution: Adjust the receiving volume. →
