Attaching the Barrier Guard Assembly
(Fig. 13, Fig. 14)
1. With one hand, hold the front of the Barrier
Guard Assembly 11 by the Fork 44. With the
other hand, hold the Barrier Guard Assembly
Release Lever 35 up
2. Lower the rear of the Barrier Guard Assembly
26, and slip its Cross Bar 45 into the Notch for
the Barrier Guard Assembly 46 on the end of
the Riving Knife 25
3. Lower the front of the Barrier Guard Assembly
26 until the Fork 44 is parallel with the Table
13
.
4. Press down on the Barrier Guard Assembly Re-
lease Lever 35 until you feel and hear it snap
into the locking position

Attaching the Anti-Kickback Device
(Fig. 15)
5. Squeeze the Anti-Kickback Device's Compres-
sion Pin 48
, and position the Anti-Kickback
Device 27 on the top edge of the Riving Knife
25, below the Notch 47
6. Slide the Anti-Kickback Device 27 up the top
edge of the Riving Knife 25 until it drops into
the Notch 47
.
7. Release the Compression Pin 48 so that the
Anti-Kickback Device 27 locks onto the Riving
Knife 25 immediately behind the Barrier Guard
Assembly 26.
8. Check that the Compression Pin 48 is securely
connected into the Notch 47 by carefully rais-
ing and lowering the Pawls 49. When you let go
