Display assembly

To remove and disassemble the display assembly, use these procedures and illustrations.
NOTE: The display assembly is spared at the subcomponent level. For display assembly spare part
information, see the individual removal subsections.
Before removing the display panel, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see
Remove the display assembly:
1. Lift the tape (1) from the smaller side of the display cable, and then disconnect smaller cable (2)
from system board.
2. Lift the locking bar (3) of the larger side of the display cable, and then disconnect the larger cable (4)
from the system board.
3. Remove the cable from the clips (5) in the computer.
4. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screw (1) from the bracket on the WLAN module, and then remove the
bracket (2).
5. Disconnect the antenna cables (3) from antenna connectors on the WLAN module.
6. Remove the antenna cables from the clip (4).
7. Lift the locking bar (5) of the larger side of the camera cable, and then disconnect the larger cable
(6) from the system board.
8. Lift the tape (7) from the smaller side of the camera cable, and then disconnect smaller cable (8)
from system board.
