  • Page 41: Display Subcomponents (Without Removing The Display)

    IMPORTANT: Removing a battery that is the sole power source for the computer can cause loss of information. To prevent loss of information, save your work or shut down the computer through Windows before you remove the battery. Remove the battery: Disconnect the battery cable (1) from the system board.
  • Page 42 Use a heating device to heat the display rear cover to loosen the panel adhesive. Attach suction cups (1) to the top, middle of the display. NOTE: Be sure not to place the suction cup over the camera module. Pull the tools apart (2) to create a gap between the panel and display rear cover. Insert a pry tool (3) into the gap, and then slide to tool back and forth (4) along the entire length of the top of the display to release the panel.

If the WLAN antenna is not connected to the terminal on the WLAN module, you must install a protective sleeve on the antenna connector, as shown in the following illustration.
