2.3.1

Preparation

1. Download the
"TIA_ApplicationExample_InductiveClockingSensor_109818998_V18.zip"
project file. You can find the download link under /2/.
2. Save the .zip file in any directory on your computer and unzip it.
3. Set the IP address of the PG/PC so that the PG/PC is in the same subnet as
the CPU.
4. Connect the PG/PC to the Ethernet interface of the CPU 1516F-3 PN/DP using
an Ethernet cable.
The following IP address was used for this application example:
CPU 1516F-3 PN/DP

Subnet mask:
The following password is used throughout the S7 project: "Siemens123"

Downloading the S7 project to the CPU

1. Open "TIA Portal V18".
2. Switch to the project view.
3. Click on "Project > Open" in the menu bar of the TIA Portal.
4. Click "Browse" and open the unzipped project.
5. In the project tree, right-click on "PLC_1 [CPU 1516F-3 PN/DP]" and then click
"Download to device > Hardware and software (only changes)".
6. Select the respective interface and click "Start search".
