SD Error <n>

A write or read error has occurred on the SD Card.
SIGErr=<nn>
<nn> = double-digit code:
SIGErr=07: Error when reading a signed file
An error occurred when reading a signed software
component.
SIGErr=08: signature file error
No SIEMENS signature was found for a software com‐
ponent.
SIGErr=09: Device certificate period of validity error
The system time has not been correctly set.
SIGErr=11: signature file invalid
Software was installed with an unassociated signa‐
ture file.
All others SIGErr
unPAC FAIL
A problem has occurred when reading, unzipping or
writing the data.
The archive with the CNC software is possibly corrupt
or unreadable.

Dot not flashing: Operating system has crashed
where the NCK is no longer clocking

"8" and all LEDs are lit yellow: Fan module is not de‐
tected.
Please contact SIEMENS Technical Support if it was not possible to resolve the error.

SD Error 1: System card reader is not present in
HW info
SD Error 2: Card reader not responding; HW prob‐
lem

Troubleshooting
•
Check whether the mechanical write pro‐
tection (lock) of the SD Card has been acti‐
vated.
•
It is possible that the SD Card is defective
and must be replaced.
•
Check the SD Card using the "Check storage
integrity" diagnostics option.
Check whether the original CNC software pack‐
age is installed and has not been modified.
•
Use an existing system restore point or in‐
stall the original CNC software package. It
may be necessary to reimport archive files.
Check whether the original CNC software pack‐
age is installed and has not been modified.
•
Install the original CNC software package.
Occurs the first time the device is switched on if
the system time has not yet been set.
Check the settings if the error is permanent.
Check whether the original CNC software pack‐
age is installed and has not been modified.

Install the original CNC software package.
The hardware may be defective.

Contact SIEMENS Technical Support.
Boot the NCU using the SINUMERIK service sys‐
tem, and check the partition using the "Check
storage integrity" diagnostics option.

diagnostics check is unsuccessful.
Reinstall the CNC software if the SD Card is OK.
Restart the NCU.
Check whether the fan module is inserted or is
defective.
