MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
TRACTOR SERVICE
The components listed should be serviced on a regular
basis to insure thatthey are in top working condition. Refer
to SERVICE SCHEDULE on Page 14 for recommended
service intervals.
ENGINE AIR PRE-CLEANER
The engine air pre-cleaner should be removed and cleaned
every 25 operating hours. See Figure 30. Refer to Engine
Owner's Manual for specific cleaning instructions.
ENGINE AIR CLEANER
The engine air cleaner element should be removed and
replaced every 25 operating hours. See Figure 30. Con¬
tact engine manufacturer's dealer for correct replacement
element.
SPARKPLUG
Remove and replace engine spark plug after 100 operat¬
ing hours. Refer to Engine Owner's Manual for correct
replacement plug and gap specifications.
FUEL FILTER
The engine fuel filter should be replaced every 100 oper¬
ating hours. Remove the fuel filter as follows:
NOTE:
It may be necessary to drain the fuel tank before removing
fuel filter to prevent excessive spillage of gasoline.
Raise tractor hood.
Remove sparkplug wire(s) and secure away from plug(s).
Locate fuel filter. Remove hose clamps and fuel hoses
from both sides of fuel filter. See Figure 31.
Install new fuel filter part number 1 -4359. See Figure 32.
Fill fuel tank with fresh gasoline. Refer to Engine Owner's
Manual for fuel specifications.
