or jammed in the work, the reaction of the tool could
crush your hand or leg.
∙ Do not drill, fasten or break into existing walls or
other blind areas where electrical wiring may exist. If
this situation is unavoidable, disconnect all fuses or
circuit breakers feeding this worksite.
∙ Use a metal detector to determine if there are gas
or water pipes hidden in the work area or call the local
utility company for assistance before beginning the
operation. Striking or cutting into a gas line will result
in explosion. Water entering an electrical device may
cause electrocution.
∙ Do not use dull or damaged chisels and accessories.
Dull or damaged chisels have a greater tendency to bind
in the workpiece.
∙ Keep hands away from moving parts.
∙ Do not leave the tool running. Operate the tool only
when hand-held.
∙ Never place the tool down until the motor has come
to a complete stop.
∙ Do not touch the chisel or parts close to the chisel
immediately after operation; they may be extremely hot
and could burn your skin.
∙ When removing the chisel from the tool avoid
contact with skin and use proper protective gloves when
grasping the chisel or accessory. Accessories may be
hot after prolonged use.
UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the drawings on this
manual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call
an IVT assistance center.

INITIAL OPERATION

Always use the correct supply voltage: the power supply
voltage must match the information quoted on the tool
identification plate.

WARNING! Always pull the power
plug before making adjustments to
the equipment.
Mounting the auxiliary handle (3)
For safety reasons you must only use the demolition
breaker with the auxiliary handle (3). The auxiliary
handle (3) enables you to achieve better stability whilst
using the demolition breaker.
The auxiliary handle (3) can be turned into any required
position:
Undo the screw of the auxiliary handle (4) [F1].

2. Turn the auxiliary handle (3) into the most
comfortable working position for yourself.
3. Tighten the screw of auxiliary handle (4) back.
REPLACING CHISELS
Inserting the chisel [F2]
1. Clean the chisel before fitting it and apply a thin
coating of grease to the tool shaft.
2. Pull out the locking bolt (5) as far as possible, turn
it through 180° and release it.
3. Insert the chisel into the chuck (6) and push it in
as far as possible.
4. Pull out the locking bolt (5) again, turn it through
180° in the opposite direction and release it.
5. Check the lock by pulling the chisel.
Removing the chisel
To remove the chisel, proceed in reverse order.

SWITCHING ON / OFF [F3]
Before starting the tool, check the drilling point for
concealed electrical cables, gas and water pipes
using a cable / pipe detector.
WARNING! To avoid danger, the
machine must only be held using
both the handle (1) and the auxiliary
handle (3). Otherwise you may suffer
an electric shock if you chisel into
cables.
Switching On
Press the On / Off switch (2).
Switching Off
Release the On / Off switch (2).

PRACTICAL TIPS

ATTENTION! You only require slight
contact
Excessive contact pressure will place
an unnecessary strain on the motor.
Sharpening chisels
You will only achieve good results if you use sharp
chisels. You should therefore sharpen the chisels
promptly to ensure that they produce good results and
provide a long service life.
