Brushcutter and battery

1 Locking levers
The locking levers hold the battery in the bat‐
tery compartment.
2 Battery compartment
The battery compartment holds the battery.

3 Cover
The cover is the placeholder for a Smart Con‐
nector 2 A.
4 Air filter
The air filter filters the air entering the engine.
5 Control handle
The control handle is used for operating,
holding and guiding the brushcutter.

The cover is part of the motor housing. Only remove the cover to install a Smart Connector 2 A and
store it safely for later re-installation. Always use the brushcutter with the cover or Smart Connector 2
A installed.

6 Carrying ring
The carrying ring is for attaching the carrying
system.
7 LEDs
The LEDs indicate the selected power level.
8 Power setting button
The power setting button is used to select the
power level.
9 Trigger lockout
The trigger lockout unlocks the trigger.
10 Trigger
The trigger switches the brushcutter on and
off.
11 Unlock button
The unlock button is used to turn on the
brushcutter.
12 Loop handle
The loop handle with quick release clamp is
used for holding and guiding the brushcutter.
13 Barrier bar
The barrier bar maintains a safe distance
between the operator's leg and a metal cut‐
ting attachment.
14 Shaft
The shaft connects all components.
15 Opening for the stop pin
The opening for the stop pin accommodates
the stop pin.
16 Stop pin
The stop pin blocks the shaft when a cutting
attachment is being attached.
17 Gear housing
The gear housing encloses the gearbox.
18 Screw plug
The screw plug closes the filler opening for
STIHL gear grease.
19 Battery
The battery supplies power to the brushcutter.
20 LEDs
The LEDs indicate the state of charge of the
battery and any faults.
21 Button
The pushbutton activates the LEDs on the
battery. The pushbutton activates and deacti‐
vates the Bluetooth® interface (if available).
