Checking the Tire Pressure

Service Interval: Every 25 hours—Check the tire
pressure.
Maintain the air pressure in the front and rear tires as
specified. Uneven tire pressure can cause an uneven
cut. Check the pressure at the valve stem when
the tires are cold to get the most accurate pressure
reading.
Inflate the front tires to 103 kPa (15 psi).
Inflate the rear tires to 138 kPa (20 psi).

Servicing the Cutting
Blades
To ensure a superior quality of cut, keep the blades
sharp. For convenient sharpening and replacement,
keep extra blades on hand.
Before Inspecting or Servicing the
Blades
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the blade-control switch, and engage the parking
brake.
2.
Shut off the machine and remove the key.
3.
Raise the machine off the ground so that you
can access beneath it. Support the machine
using jackstands.
WARNING
Mechanical or hydraulic jacks may fail to
support the machine and cause serious

injury.
Use jack stands when supporting the
machine.
Inspecting the Blades
Service Interval: Before each use or daily
1.
Inspect the cutting edges.
2.
If the edges are not sharp or have nicks, remove
and sharpen the blade; refer to
Blades (page

Inspect the blades, especially in the curved area.
4.
If you notice any cracks, wear, or a slot forming
in this area, immediately install a new blade.
