Pre-Maintenance Procedures

Accessing the Battery

1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the blade-control switch, and engage the parking
brake.
2. Shut off the machine and remove the key.
3. Remove the grass catcher; refer to
the Grass Catcher (page
4. Remove the front screw.

6. Remove the 2 rear screws.

7. Remove the side cover to access the battery.
8. Reverse the procedure to install the cover.
Important:
After maintenance, ensure that there
are no open circuits or loose wiring.
