Go to the display station that is attached to 3274 port AO.
The top two rows of the screen should contain the
following information:

Use the keyboard to enter the characters
1234567890ABCDEF into the character positions occupied
by the Xs. If you miskey any characters, use the cursor
move keys ( - and - ) on the right side of the keyboard
to move the cursor to the character position(s) to be
corrected.

Press the ENTER key. The top rows of the display screen
should change to:
EMKV
Note:
If a 1 (numeric error code) or a
2
(alphabetic error
code) appears in the top center of the screen, either
you did not enter the 1 through F characters
correctly in step 7, or the attached keyboard is
nonstandard and cannot be used. To recover, enter
the
1
through F characters correctly and press the
ENTER key again. If the error still occurs, replace
the display/keyboard with a standard unit and retry
step 7.

The EMKV characters are a prompt message meaning
"Enter master key value." Use the keyboard to enter
(without spaces) the 16 characters of the new master key
code into the positions occupied by the hyphens. The valid
characters that can be entered are the numbers 0 through 9
and the letters A through F. The characters entered for the
master key code are hexadecimal characters. Each byte of
the 8-byte master key code consisting of consecutive pairs
of these hexadecimal characters must have odd parity.
