Installing the hard disk drive backplane

NOTE: HDD backplane designs may differ between middle HDD 1 and HDD backplane 2.
To install the HDD backplane:
Align each HDD backplane in the chassis. Make sure the connectors are facing up, as shown in the
1.
following figure.
Secure the HDD backplane and the chassis with the screws.

Repeat the procedure for the additional HDD backplane.
3.
Install the SAS expander card (on page 64).
4.
Install all the 3.5" HDD assemblies (on page 58).
5.
Close the storage node (on page 26).
