Removing the hard disk drive backplane

NOTE: HDD backplane designs may differ between middle HDD 1 and HDD backplane 2.
To remove the HDD backplane:
Open the storage node (on page 25).
1.
Remove all the 3.5" HDD assemblies (on page 57).
2.
Remove the SAS expander card (on page 63).
3.
Remove the screws securing the HDD backplane to the chassis.
4.
Remove the HDD backplane.
5.
Repeat the procedure for the additional HDD backplane.
