By default, the switch automatically boots up; however, you can configure it to manually boot up.
Before you begin
Use a standalone switch for this task.

Performing Device Setup Configuration
Purpose
(Optional) Saves your entries in the
configuration file.
Purpose
Enters global configuration mode.
Enables the switch to manually boot up during
the next boot cycle.
Returns to privileged EXEC mode.
Verifies your entries.
The boot manual global command changes the
setting of the MANUAL_BOOT environment
variable.
The next time you reboot the system, the switch
is in boot loader mode, shown by the switch:
prompt. To boot up the system, use the boot
filesystem:/file-url boot loader command.
