2.8 Notes on the Engine's Storage Drive

Always turn OFF the machine by activating the automatic shutdown sequence. For
the imagePRESS V900/V800/V700, the automatic shutdown sequence is initiated
by turning OFF the main power switch. For more information, see the Canon
imagePRESS V900/V800/V700 User Manual. Never remove power during the
shutdown sequence. This may negatively impact the performance and life of the
engine's storage drive, and destroy any data being processed at the time of shut
down.
IMPORTANT
Make sure to replace the storage drive with Canon Genuine Service Parts (not
store bought) at the same time. Canon U.S.A., Inc. does not guarantee operation
if non-Canon Genuine Service Parts are used.
