General

WARNING! Always pull out the plug from

the outlet socket before cleaning,
maintenance or assembly.
Hus qvarna's blades are approved for hand-held power
c utters.
Checking the drive shaft and
flange washers
When the blade is replac ed with a new one, chec k the
fl ange washers and the drive shaft.
Check that the threads on the drive s haft are
undamaged.
Check that the contact surfaces on t he blade and the
fl ange washers are undamaged, of the c orrect
dimension, clean, and that they r un properly on the
drive axle.
Do not use warped, notched, indented or dirty flange
washers. Do not use different dimensions of flange
washers.

Checking the bushing

Bushings are used to fit the mac hine to the cent re hole in
t he cutting blade.
Check t hat the bus hing on the mac hine's s pindle s haft
c orres ponds with the centre hole of the c utting blade.
The blades are marked with the diameter of the centre
hole.
Checking the direction of the
blade rotation
When using diamond blades make su re that it rot ates
in t he direction indicated by the arrow on the blade.
The direction of rot ation for the machine is shown by
arrows on t he cutting arm.

ASSEMBLING AND ADJUSTMENTS

Fitting the cutting blade

The blade is placed on the bushing (1) between t he
in ner fl ange washer (2) and t he flange was her (3). The
flange washer is tur ned s o t hat it fits on t he axle.

Lock t he shaft. I nsert a t ool in the hole in the cutting
head and rotate t he blade until it is locked.
Tightening torque for the bolt holding the blade is: 15-
25 Nm (130-215 in.lb).

Blade guard

The guard for the cutting equipment should be adjus ted
s o that the rear section is flush with the work piece.
Spatter and spark s from t he material being cut are t hen
c ollected up by the guard and led away f rom the user.
The blade guard is f riction lo cked.
Press the ends of t he guard against the work piece or
adjust the guard with the adjus tment handle. The
guard must always be fitt ed on the machine.
