Rear Fireback
(2) Side Firebacks
The firebacks are fragile (especially the rear fireback). Take care when handling the firebacks.
WARNING
Turn off the gas to the appliance and make sure it has fully cooled prior to conducting service.
Standard and CleanFace Fireback Installation
NOTE: If using an optional fireback install the kit before performing any other firebox setup.

NOTE On two-sided firebacks make sure to use the desired pattern.
1. Remove the glass frame and logs (see the installation manual for details).
2. The firebox baffle and exhaust restrictor must be removed to install firebacks (replace them once the
firebacks are in place).

The baffle and exhaust restrictor have keyholes, allowing
removal without removing the screws.

Lift the rear burner straight up and remove it from the firebox. NOTE: there is a pin in each of the rear corners of the burner that hold the burner in the correct position.

Remove the hearth front cover. Lift the cover and remove it from the firebox. Set the cover aside for reinstallation.
- Page 4 564 25K & 35K Fireback Installation 96100191, 96100198, 96100199, 96100200, 96100201, 96100202 ,96100205 7. All firebacks except black glass = Remove and discard the media tray covers. Black glass firebacks = Remove and keep the media tray covers for reinstallation.

Tilt the bottom of the fireback toward the rear wall of the firebox. Set the bottom of the fireback on the bent-out tabs on the rear of the media tray. The side firebacks installed in the next step will hold the rear fireback in place so, make sure to support the rear fireback until the side firebacks are installed.

Install the retaining clips on both sides to hold the side firebacks in place. 12. Restore the fireplace to the correct configuration. If using black glass firebacks reinstall the media tray covers. Slide the media tray covers to the outside to cover the gap between the media tray and the fireback panels.
