position.

Notes
• No index signal will be added when recording starts from recording pause.
However, an index signal will be marked if you change the channel during
recording pause.
• The AMS function only works when the KARAOKE ON/OFF switch is set to ON.
• You cannot use the AMS function on tapes that have many blank spaces in a short
time span such as dramas and dialogues.

Additional Operations
Set KARAOKE ON/OFF on the VCR to ON.
Insert a tape into the VCR.
Press =/+ SEARCH AMS/INDEX
repeatedly to specify how many blank spaces
ahead or behind you want to search:
• To search ahead, press + SEARCH
AMS/INDEX.
• To search backwards, press =SEARCH
AMS/INDEX.
The VCR starts searching and the number of blank spaces on the TV
screen counts down to zero. Playback starts automatically from that
point.
Insert an indexed tape into the VCR.
Press =/+ SEARCH AMS/INDEX
repeatedly to specify how many index
signals ahead or behind you want to search:
• To search ahead, press + SEARCH
AMS/INDEX.
• To search backwards, press =SEARCH
AMS/INDEX.
The VCR starts searching and the index number on the TV screen
counts down to zero. Playback starts automatically from that point.
