    Getting Started Step 1 Unpacking Check that you have received the following items with the VCR: • Remote commander • Audio/video cable (3-phono to 3-phono) (SLV-K877MN/PS only) • Microphone • R6 (size AA) batteries SLV-K877MN/PS • Aerial cable SLV-K867CH/PS Checking your model name The instructions in this manual are for the 4 models: SLV-K877MN/ K877PS/K867CH and K867PS.

    Step 4 Tuning your TV to the VCR If you have connected your VCR to the TV using the audio/video cable, skip this step. ON/STANDBY PROGRAM +/– RF CH SET ON/STANDBY Press ON/STANDBY to turn on the VCR. Press RF CH SET on the VCR with a ball-point pen, etc. RF CH The factory-preset RF channel appears in the display window.

Then set the guide channel number for each satellite channel using the SET UP CH AND G-CODE menu.

    Recording TV programmes using the quick timer QUICK TIMER After starting recording in the normal way, you can have the VCR stop recording automatically after a specified duration. While recording, press QUICK TIMER on the VCR once. Press QUICK TIMER repeatedly to set the duration. Each press advances the time in increments of 30 minutes.

SCORE Start singing and press SCORE. “SCORE” appears on the TV screen, and the VCR starts analysing your singing. Press SCORE again after singing for more than one minute. Your score appears on the TV screen for five seconds.

Press SHOUT. “SHOUT” appears in the display window (English on-screen display only) and the VCR starts a countdown on the TV screen. Shout into the microphone when the VCR counts down to 0.
