    Getting Started You have just purchased a wired remote control and it has been installed by your installation specialist. Your User’s Manual contains much valuable information on using your wired remote control. Please take time to read it as it will help you take full advantages of the unit’s features.

    Selecting the Auto Mode The room temperature and the fan speed are controlled automatically in the Auto mode. Press the (ON/OFF) button to turn on the indoor unit. (Do not press the (ON/OFF) button if the remote control is on). Result: The air conditioner will be turned on with the mode selected when the unit was last used.

    Selecting the Cool Mode Select the Cool mode to lower the room temperature. Press the (ON/OFF) button to turn on the indoor unit. (Do not press the (ON/OFF) button if the remote control is on). Result: The air conditioner will be turned on with the mode selected when the unit was last used.

    Selecting the Heat Mode The Heat mode can be selected only on the heat pump models. Select the Heat mode to raise the room temperature. Press the (ON/OFF) button to turn on the indoor unit. (Do not press the (ON/OFF) button if the remote control is on).

    Selecting the Dry Mode Select the Dry mode if the room is too humid. Using this mode will slightly lower the room temperature. Press the (ON/OFF) button to turn on the indoor unit. (Do not press the (ON/OFF) button if the remote control is on).

    Displaying the Deice Mode When the Deice mode indicator is on, it means that the air conditioner is defrosting its outdoor unit under the Heat mode. When the air conditioner is under heating operation in cold weather, there may be frost generated by difference of the temperatures.
