Diagnostics
You have the following diagnostics options available for the readers:
• Via the LED display
• Via SNMP
• Using WBM
• Via XML
These alternative methods are described below.
10.1.1
Diagnostics via the LED display
The "R/S" LED indicates the reader's operating states. The LED can be green, orange or red and
have the states off , on , flashes :

10.1.2
Diagnostics via SNMP
Using SNMP, you have extensive diagnostics options for the network functions of the reader. The
following diagnostics options (MIBs) are supported by the readers:
• RFC 2863: IF-MIB
• RFC 3418: SNMPv2-MIB

Display of the operating states via the LEDs
R/S
Meaning
The reader is turned off.
The power supply was switched off and the reader is starting up.
There is a transponder in the antenna field.
The reader is starting up. The reader is being initialized and/or the connection to the user
application is terminated.
The reader is switched on and ready for operation. The connection to the user application
has been established.
The reader is in license mode.
The flash test is performed for reader identification.
A firmware update is in progress.
There is an error.
