System Description and Engineering
System and Network Services
The 1FINITY NEs support syslog filtering, saving syslogs to local syslog files, and sending syslogs to the remote
syslog server. The filtering can be done based on facility and severity. When the filtered syslogs are saved locally,
a maximum of four such files can be created.
Note: For more detailed syslog information, refer to 1FINITY Syslog User Guide, available on the Fujitsu Partners
website, https://partners.fnc.fujitsu.com/documentation.

Zero Touch Provisioning

Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) allows 1FINITY NEs to be autoconfigured by a controller when the device is first
installed. ZTP eliminates the need for the installation technician to connect to the device and manually configure
it.
After hardware is installed, the installation technician connects the NE to the DCN. ZTP, using a standard DHCP
server service, announces the NE to one or more controllers. The controllers get a REST notification that
identifies the network element. With this information, the controller can associate the NE to a configuration
profile and automatically configure the NE.
All network communication is fully secure. The announcement method allows the controller to discover the NE
automatically.
Note: For more detailed ZTP information, refer to 1FINITY Zero Touch Provisioning User Guide, available on the
Fujitsu Partners website, https://partners.fnc.fujitsu.com/documentation.

Access Control List

Access Control List (ACL) is used for packet filtering that controls the Internet Protocol (IP) traffic passing through
a network. A set of rules is defined in the ACL to decide whether the IP traffic is allowed or denied. 1FINITY ACL
supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to allow or deny IP traffic.
Note: For more detailed ACL information, refer to 1FINITY Access Control List User Guide, available on the
Fujitsu Partners website, https://partners.fnc.fujitsu.com/documentation.
1.7.11

Telnet

Telnet is a client-server network protocol for text-oriented communication between hosts over TCP/IP network
connections. 1FINITY NEs can participate as either client or server.
